The trial in the District court

Friday, April 16, 1999 prosecuted:
Hans Olsson of murder.
Ib Johansen for protecting the criminal.
Stefan Ling for protecting the criminal.

They are judged by a unanimous District Court:
Hans Olsson to 10 years in prison for murder.
Ib Johansen to 6 months in jail for protecting the criminal.
Stefan Ling to 6 months in jail for protecting the criminal.

All three then resident in Gislaved.

There are a variety of witnesses who support the incident with the time precision one would expect that people have a Saturday night, ie the diffs here and there.

... and we're not talking about a big city without a den that is pretty deserted on a Saturday night.

There is forensic evidence in the form of fibers from Jorgen's pants in Ib Johansen's car and there are fibers from Ib Johansen's seat on Jorgen's pants.
Fibre has no DNA so one can not say that they are from something just that it's the same type of fibers.
So they can not establish, support only that the person has been sitting in the car.

Since it has been the decisive evidence, Ib Johansen's recognition that corresponds well with the other witnesses' observations.

BUT ... Ib Johansen says he did not know it was Jorgen they drove, he did not recognize Jorgen appearance.
Which is bullshit, saying that he didnt knew who and knew the look of him who  Hans Olsson claimed had fired him 1995.
Of course he knew who Hans Olsson "looking" for.

I thought it was strange that he is not overly talented man had been legally strategic when he finally told the truth.
I assumed he consulted anyone or been told it by his attorney.
This, I have been explained by both lawyers and police officers that it "probably" because he knew it was Jorgen he would be prosecuted for complicity in murder. Did he not get it "just" protecting the criminal.

Stephen Ling admits that he went home to Hans Olsson and told me that Jorgen was in town.
He also acknowledges that he has been asked to lie about where he picked up Hans Olsson, in the police questioning
